The popular Best Western Lansdowne Hotel, directly opposite Eastbourne's beautiful seafront, has been a popular venue for bowls groups for many years. Eastbourne boasts no less than seven bowls clubs within a two-mile radius.
The nearest bowls club is just a short trip from the hotel, with two greens and twelve rinks, and another is less than a mile away with two greens, twelve rinks and bar facilities, making the Lansdowne the perfect base for bowlers.
Eastbourne also has two indoor clubs, that each have six rinks making bowling in Eastbourne not just seasonable but suitable at anytime of the year.
The hotel goes to great lengths to ensure good quality fixtures and many groups return time and again. Situated at the foot of the South Downs, we are in an ideal position for sightseeing, with easy access to Brighton, Lewes, Hastings and Rye. The town has an excellent shopping centre, five theatres and the newly-opened Towner Art Gallery, offering something for everyone.
