Here at the Best Western Lansdowne Hotel, our guests’ safety is our priority and we would like to reassure you that we are taking every precaution possible in the current climate. For your peace of mind, here is a list of some of the safety measures that will be operating when you next visit us. Please note that government guidelines are continuously changing, and these points will be updated accordingly without prior notice in order to comply:

  • Our hotel is being independently audited by using approved Environmental Health protocols.
  • Our Health & Safety and Cleaning procedures have been enhanced to provide a clean and healthy environment for both staff and guests. High touch point areas like switches, tv remotes and lift buttons will be continuously sanitised to ensure protection as well as room cleaning between guests and all areas of the hotel.
  • We kindly remind our guests to maintain a safe distance of 2m from anyone not in your party within the hotel.
  • Please note that as per current Government guidelines, customers in hospitality venues must wear face coverings, except when seated at a table to eat or drink. Businesses must remind people to wear face coverings where mandated, we kindly ask our guests to follow this if asked to by a member of staff.
  • Groups of more than 6 guests are not allowed to sit together. Please note that we reserve the right to allocate tables away from each other in order to follow Government guidelines.
  • Sanitiser stations have been placed all around the hotel for both guest and staff use.
  • We will be operating a one-way system throughout the Hotel, this will include our lifts and staircases.

  • Public spaces will be reconfigured or restricted in accordance with government guidelines. Whilst restrictions are in place, some of our restaurant, bar, public lounges and washrooms may not be accessible.
  • Guests are encouraged to use any online, mobile and contactless payment methods that are available and avoid cash payments where possible.
  • We have installed a plexiglass screen to shield guests and our co-workers at reception without hiding a welcoming smile.
  • In accordance with social distancing measures, we will only be able to check-in or check-out one room at a time and we ask that guests queue patiently if required.
  • Online check-in is now be available. You will be sent a link to your Registration Card prior to your arrival. All you need to do is fill in the details and virtually sign the document. Your room key and any further information will be ready for you to collect on arrival.
  • Payments are usually taken on check in at the Front Desk. From now, all payments will be taken in the morning of your arrival day from the card given at the time of booking. This is to help reduce the use of card machines which are a high touch point.
  • However, if you have prepaid your stay online at the time of booking on a 3rd Party Website and we do not have access to your card details, you will still be required to leave a pre-authorisation of a card for any extras you may have during your stay.
  • We will only operate an Express Check Out instead of our standard procedures. Payments will be taken in the morning of departure from the card given at the time of booking for any outstanding balances and an invoice will be emailed to you. If you wish to have a paper copy of your account, we are happy to provide this upon request. We advise requesting this in the evening prior to your departure so you can make sure the account is correct.
  • Our linen is laundered at over 60 degrees centigrade.
  • Every bedroom will be ventilated between guest stays. Check in is strictly from 2pm. Late check out will not be available to assist this.
  • For guest safety, rooms will not be serviced for stayovers. If you require any items, please contact reception who will happily arrange delivery of these to your room.
  • Whilst our food offering will be reduced and plated only, removing any buffets to prevent cross-contamination, we will still strive to offer a great quality menu with popular dishes.
  • Due to social distancing restrictions, all meals served in our restaurant, including breakfast, will require guests to book one of our time slots. These can be booked for you at check-in.
  • Unfortunately, we will not be able to store any luggage before or after your stay.
  • We kindly ask that, if at any point during your stay you start to feel unwell, please stay in your room, and contact Reception immediately.
  • If you feel unwell before you are due to travel, please contact the Hotel immediately. Your booking will be cancelled and any payments already made will be refunded to you.
  • For full details, please visit the Government website here.
