We are delighted to support local charity, St Wilfrid’s supports adults aged 18+ with any life-limiting illness and celebrated its 40th anniversary year in 2021.
The charity’s mission is to transform end of life care for the people of Eastbourne and the wider area.
On 29th October the Lansdowne hosted the St Wilfrid’s ruby anniversary lunch as a fundraising event with 120 female attendees of the local business community. Guests included accountants, lawyers, teachers, small business owners and local dignitaries. The event comprised of a three course lunch, raffle and auction, raising an impressive £14,000 for St Wilfrid’s as part of their Paint The Town Red fortnight.
Hotel staff got behind Paint The Town Red and wore red t-shirts with the St Wilfrid’s logo to support the fundraising activities.
Catherine Clifford, Partner of Lansdowne Hotel commented:
We were delighted to support the St Wilfrid’s Paint The Town Red charity lunch and host at the Lansdowne Hotel. It was fantastic to see so many businesswomen, members of the local community and regular guests supporting St Wilfrid’s. The generosity of the funds raised is a testament to the town and the high regard for such a worthy cause.’
