Pets are more than welcome at the Best Western Lansdowne Hotel so you don't need to worry about the expense of kennels or missing your beloved pooch!
We have a dedicated lounge for you and your dog so you can feel that he/she is still part of your holiday, rather than just being cooped up in your bedroom. You can also eat with you dog as we will set you up a table in a dedicated area. We put dog bowls and a goody bag for your dog on arrival in your room too! Owners are held responsible for any damage they may cause. The Charge is £15.00 per dog, per day (no food supplied).
Our location is perfect for dog walking, as we are directly opposite the seafront with a lovely walk up to Holywell for a cup of tea and cake, or for breath-taking views from Holywell up onto the top of Beachy Head. Other incredible long dog walking areas include Seven Sisters, Cuckmere, Pevensey Castle, Bluebell Walk and Abbots Wood. If you only require shorter walks for your Pooch there are many local parks like Princes Park and Hampden Park which are perfect.
So pick up the dog and bone and give us a bell on 01323 725174.
Between 1st May and 30th September, dogs must be kept on leads and are not permitted on the beach between the Wish Tower and Pier during these times.
If you are visiting the far East side of the seafront in July, Eastbourne Extreme will take over this section for a full weekend of extreme sports and water sports.
Street parking bays in Zone H are located directly opposite the hotel and are free from 1st November to 31st March. Daily permits are available outside of these dates from Reception and are priced at £2.
Parking is also available free behind the hotel on Compton Street, with paid-for metered parking available year-round on the side streets adjacent to the hotel.
Blue badge holders may park in any pay and display areas and may use the dedicated disabled parking pays directly opposite the hotel entrance.
We continually maintain our large building to a high standard. With 102 rooms there is always something to do! We will always make guests aware if there is anything we feel that they should know regarding our maintenance program and we always endeavour to make sure that it does not impinge on our guests' experience.
One thing that we would like to mention is that Best Western do not own the hotel and it is down to the partners to invest the money in the business. With 102 bedrooms we simply don't have the funds to do a one hit approach!
Our Lawns, Martello Room and small lounge have been refurbished as have our lower ground function rooms and we have no doubt that you will think they look stunning - perfect for your wedding, business meeting or any special event.
In 2017 we started a refurbishment program of our bedrooms, the main thing being the renewal of our plumbing system and boilers to give us a much more efficient system with much better water pressure. We will also be doing a lot of bathroom refurbishment.
We have replaced our seating in the foyer and renovated our reception desk and I am sure you will think it looks as fantastic as we do! We have a lovely refurbished lounge with a montage of pictures as an ode to the family of the hotel, past and present. It has a Gentleman's club feel about it and is a place where you can sit and read or play a game of chess or simply just have a few drinks!
One of our main lounges - the Cuckmere lounge has recently been refurbished and so far the comments have been that it has a luxurious and glamourous feel about it. We are imminently going to redecorate our bar.
We always welcome your comments on our hotel and if there is anything that you feel is not up to scratch please do leave comments on our questionnaire or let our reception team know.
